Fact-Checking and Corrections Policy

Fact-Checking and Corrections Policy

At N10 EN, accuracy is a fundamental principle of our journalism. News reporting is not opinion, and information is not treated as publishable unless it has been properly verified. For that reason, all factual content published on our website, social media channels, and any other distribution platforms is subject to editorial review and verification before publication.

Our work is guided by standards of fairness, responsibility, and transparency. In doing so, N10 EN follows principles consistent with those promoted by the International Fact-Checking Network, including commitments to:

  • nonpartisanship and fairness;
  • transparency of sources;
  • transparency in funding and organizational structure;
  • transparency of editorial and verification methods;
  • an open, honest, and accountable corrections policy.

Our Approach to Verification

Verification is an essential part of our editorial process. Before publication, our newsroom seeks to confirm factual claims through reliable sourcing, cross-checking, and editorial review. Depending on the nature of the report, this may include consultation of primary documents, direct statements, official data, public records, expert analysis, and corroboration from credible sources.

Speed matters in journalism, but accuracy matters more. Even in fast-moving situations, our editorial standard is that reporting must be grounded in verified information to the fullest extent possible at the time of publication.

Fairness is also central to our process. When a report contains allegations, criticism, or information that may affect the reputation of a person, institution, or organization, we seek, whenever appropriate and feasible, to provide room for response and to reflect that response in our coverage.

Editorial Responsibility

N10 EN is committed to publishing journalism that is clear, responsible, and trustworthy. We do not treat unverified claims as established fact, and we do not knowingly publish false or misleading information. Our editorial team is expected to apply consistent standards of care in reporting, writing, reviewing, and updating content.

Where information is still developing, we may indicate that details are preliminary or subject to change. When new verified information becomes available, we update coverage accordingly.

Corrections Policy

Despite rigorous editorial standards, errors may occasionally occur. When they do, N10 EN is committed to correcting them promptly, clearly, and transparently.

Potential errors may be identified internally by editors and reporters or externally by readers, sources, or affected parties. When a correction concern is raised, the editorial team reviews the relevant material, rechecks the facts, and determines whether a correction, clarification, or update is necessary.

If an error is confirmed, the content is corrected and accompanied by a notice labeled Correction Notice. That notice identifies the nature of the correction and, when appropriate, the date or time the correction was made.

As a general standard:

  • if the error affects a central fact or the core understanding of the story, the correction notice will appear at the top of the article;
  • if the error is minor or supplementary, the correction notice may appear at the end of the article.

We believe corrections should improve transparency, not obscure it. For that reason, confirmed factual errors are not silently altered when a formal correction is warranted.

Clarifications and Updates

Not every change is a correction. In some cases, an article may be updated to reflect new developments, add relevant context, or improve clarity without correcting a factual mistake. In such situations, the update may be identified separately where appropriate.

This distinction helps preserve transparency in our editorial record and gives readers a clearer understanding of why content has changed.

Reader Feedback and Error Reporting

We value feedback from readers and consider legitimate correction requests an important part of maintaining editorial quality. If you believe a report published by N10 EN contains a factual error, misleading information, or requires clarification, you may contact us at:

All substantiated reports are reviewed by the editorial team. Requests are assessed based on evidence, sourcing, and the standards applied to the original report.

Our Commitment

N10 EN believes that trust is built through accuracy, accountability, and transparency. Fact-checking is not an isolated step in our workflow; it is part of our broader editorial responsibility to readers.

We are committed to responsible journalism, to correcting the record when necessary, and to maintaining clear standards that support public confidence in our reporting.
